An original song from Dwayne "Wimpy" Bowden. This song was inspired by a gentleman who was a resident of the Special Care Alzheimer's unit in the Nursing Home where I worked. Every afternoon his wife would visit and talk to him about their children and relatives and friends. On one particular night after she had left he came to the nurses' station and said " she's a nice lady, but she brings me cards and letters from people I don't know. You know, sometimes I am glad to see her go home."

An original song from Dwayne "Wimpy" Bowden. Thanks for listening! Dwayne was the founder of the original Messendger band that was immensely popular and toured the US back in the late 70's and early 80's. Members at that time included Dwayne "Wimpy" Bowden, Brad Sayre (of Acousticon), Allen "Duter" Poole (of Smokedream), Jesse Glover and Eddie Robinson (Dr. Hook) Their style was reminiscent of Marshall Tucker, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band, and many other Southern Rock groups. Also were versatile enough to cover many heavy met al rock groups such as: Led Zepplin and Foreigner. Several members of Messendger also toured with Danny Joe Brown (Molly Hatchet).
